I won an essay contest hosted by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas in the 3rd grade called “The Walls of the Alamo” and won $10. I was big time. I’ve been livin’ the dream ever since.

I’ve been writing for the past 20 years for print and digital mediums. My superpower is listening and knowing how to hear the story and tell it in the right voice so that the audience truly hears it. This skill works for telling a company’s origin story as well as creating a customer’s journey. No matter the direction, a story always has a clear beginning, middle, and ending, and its the details that usually stick to a person’s brain.

Today’s writers have to be nimble, flexible, and adaptable. Companies know that failing to effectively communicate the value of their product and service online can be disastrous. It doesn’t matter if it’s a landing page, email campaign, or a pop-up message—the words are the bread and butter of any digital experience and there is definitely a psychology behind it.

I look forward to chatting with you soon.
